A Creators Guide to Instagram Reels
Instagram has launched a new feature Reels, a new way of creating and discovering short and entertaining videos. Similar to Tik Tok, Reels offers creators a new set of editing tools to put together 15 second multi-clip videos with audio, text, and special effects.
For creators looking to use Instagram Reels as a new way to build a following and gain exposure, Instagram has added Reels to its explore page similar to Tik Tok’s “For You” page but it is also available to your followers on their main feed.
This new feature offers anyone the chance to become a creator on Instagram or reach new audiences. Mega and micro influencers alike all have the ability to gain a larger following. When sharing a Reel featuring a certain song, hashtag or effect it may appear on dedicated pages giving creators easier exposure. The transition of platforms for anyone who has used Tik Tok is easier since it is a similar experience for users.
Part of Instagrams strategy is to create easy-to-use technology for whoever wants to make a video. Creators are able to open the app and a new section of the camera will provide all of the tools to make a 15-second video just like that.
Reels not only allows people to express themselves creatively but it also allows them to discover more of what they love on Instagram and help any user with the ambition of becoming a creator reach their goals.
